Prayer Team Leader

Please note: These job descriptions were composed for medium to large sized outreaches with Impact World Tour. For smaller events not all positions or simplified procedures might be required, please apply common sense in determining the needs for your community.

Responsibilities of the Prayer Team Leader

Identify existing city-wide/nation-wide prayer strategies.
Build the foundation of prayer for the awakening of the community and for the Impact World Tour.
Run the prayer team meetings and oversee the events
Liaise with existing prayer strategies in region to develop prayer cover for IWT
Draw up a timeline for events and deadlines for preparation
Facilitate citywide prayer events and prayer cover at IWT events
Build the team, encouraging members to bring interested people from their church and other churches to the meetings and to prayer events
Appoint Captains
Split members of the team into these four areas to assist the Captains
Resource and encourage churches in their prayer for IWT including Op Andrew
Recruit others to pray for the campaign and for the lost

The responsibility of the Prayer Team Leader is to build the foundation of prayer for the Impact World Tour. He/she will set the pace for the Prayer Team, running meetings and overseeing the events listed above and detailed below. It is extremely important to set the goals high, as without prayer we will be simply striving in our own efforts. ‘Not by might and not by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty’ Zechariah 4:6

Considerations for the Prayer Team Leader:

Strong personal prayer life and a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit
Respected spiritual leader inter-denominationally
Willing to embrace and respect different styles of prayer.
Gifted in organizing, rallying, and motivating people.
A heart to unite the City/Regional Church to pray

Procedure

Step One:

Familiarize yourself with all of the responsibilities of this team. Refer to and personalize the timeline for your city.

Step Two:

Build the team and encourage members to bring interested people from other churches. This team needs members who are willing to recruit and encourage others to pray.

Appoint four Captains:

Split the members of the team into these four areas to assist the Captains. It is a necessity for all Captains to work together.
