Hospitality Team leader

Responsibilities of the Hospitality Team Leader

  • Familiarize yourself with the team, drawing up a timeline that includes event deadlines
  • Build team, encouraging involvement from all churches
  • Oversee recruitment of volunteers to assist with housing, transportation, and meals and refreshments for special events
  • Appoint Team Captains in: Special Services, Meals, Housing, and
  • Transportation
  • Organize and develop sub-teams
  • Communicate with IWT Coordinator
The Hospitality Team Leader is responsible to oversee all the details of the tasks listed above and ensure that everything is being carried out correctly and to the highest standard possible. He/she is also responsible to direct the team, assist in resolving difficulties and maintain a high level of motivation.

Weekly reports/updates and prepared budgets for each event are to be submitted to the Executive Committee. All expenses must be submitted for pre-approval.

Procedure


Step One:
Familiarize yourself with all of the responsibilities of this team. Draw up a timeline for events and deadlines for preparation. This will be extremely important, so it is best to do this with the IWT Coordinator.

Step Two:
Build the team - encourage members to bring interested or qualified people from their own church and other churches.

Step Three:
Oversee the recruitment of volunteers by the Hospitality Representatives from each church. Volunteers will be needed throughout the preparation time and the event to assist with housing, transport, meals, refreshments, desserts and table decorations.

Step Four:
Appoint Team Captains:
  • Special Services Captain
  • Meals Captain
  • Housing Captain
  • Transportation Captain
**Divide the team members into teams under these Captains.

Step Five:
Organize and oversee the development of each sub-team, keeping planning on track. The Hospitality Team Leader will also serve as a communication point between the IWT Office and the team.
