Volunteer Launch
The Volunteer Launch provides opportunity for church members to meet the community-wide team leaders, explore the various ways they can serve, find out about specific needs for the outreach and ask questions. A Volunteer Launch is usually a community event but can be tailored for one church, especially if it is a large congregation.
Typical Volunteer Launch:

Team Leader Briefing Let them familiarize themselves with their stations. Set out the sign up sheets and any other forms they might need, have plenty of pens at each station.

Volunteers arrive
People will receive a Survey and Volunteer Summaries as they arrive.

|
Welcome introduction of the IWT vision, team leaders and purpose of each team.
Each attendee is asked to fill out a survey to gauge their interests and collect other information such as local contacts for sponsorships and housing details if they would like to offer a host home for a performance team member.

1st Breakout Sessions Attendees can join a team they are interested in and not only learn more about what is needed but also participate in a brain-storming session to get started on some specific tasks of the team.
